Maria Obraztsova Zavrodina (signed-MarOZ) was born in Narva, Estonia. From a very young age, she demonstrated exceptional artistic talent. At the age of 11, her mother enrolled her in drawing and painting classes at a children’s art academy, marking the beginning of her artistic journey.
In 2000, Maria moved to Madrid, Spain, where she continued her studies for the next five years at a private art school. Since 2002, Maria has organized both individual and collective exhibitions in different countries, including Spain, Belgium, and Netherlands.
In her continuous search for innovative approaches, the artist explores a wide variety of styles and techniques, resulting in a diverse and distinctive artistic production.
María Obraztsova Zavrodina has studied Professional Kinesiology, Tensergic Medicine, and Professional Chiromassage, among other disciplines. She is a professional artist and therapist certified as a Technical Advisor in Gender Violence, with studies in Mental Disorders, Cognitive Sensory-Motor and Psychomotor Development in Childhood, as well as Leadership and Conflict Resolution in companies and schools at the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija.
Maria has also worked as an art therapist with people affected by alcohol and drug addiction at ACCEM. In addition, she participated as an art therapist in a project supporting victims of domestic and gender violence hosted by the Centro Español de La Haya (Society of Spanish Workers).
