About María
María Obraztsova Zavrodina (signed MarOZ) is a professional visual artist, art teacher and art-based therapeutic practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in the arts.
Born in Narva, Estonia, María began studying drawing and painting at the age of 11. Her artistic journey later took her to Madrid, where she continued her art education, and subsequently to Belgium and the Netherlands. Since 2002, she has participated in and organized solo and group exhibitions in several European countries.
Her artistic practice is characterized by continuous exploration of different styles, techniques and forms of expression. Her work is often inspired by psychology, symbolism, nature, human relationships and the inner processes of transformation and self-discovery.
Alongside her own artistic practice, María teaches drawing and painting and leads creative workshops for adults and children. Her multidisciplinary background in art, psychology and therapeutic practices shapes an approach that encourages both technical development and individual creative expression.
Having lived and worked in different countries and cultures, María is a multilingual professional who works primarily in English and also communicates in Spanish, Russian and French.
For María, art is not only about creating images. It is a way of exploring, communicating and discovering new dimensions of ourselves and the world around us.
